The Sokaogon Chippewa Economic Support Agency also offers information and services on the Native Employment Works program (N.E.W.) as well as The Workforce Investment Act (W.I.A.). This N.E.W. program is for enrolled Sokaogon Chippewa Tribal members in Forest County and is intended to help clients maintain or gain employment. The W.I.A. program is for Native Americans with employment barriers and is based on income.
I am enrolled in the tribe. I currently reside in El Paso Texas because my husband is stationed here with the military. We are having a hard time with bills this month. He’s on a fixed income and i am still a student in school. We have two small children and no other options.
